Welcome! My name is Summer Ash, and I am proud to serve as the Director of Sacramento Academic and Vocational Academy (SAVA). I’ve had the honor of working with SAVA for over 17 years—first as a teacher, and now as a school leader. It’s a privilege to work alongside an incredible team to serve students and families across the Sacramento, Natomas and Elk Grove communities.

 

At SAVA, we do things differently. When you step onto one of our campuses, you’ll notice right away that we’re not your typical high school. We offer a flexible, personalized learning environment that allows students to thrive both academically and personally. Through a mix of independent study, small group instruction, and live classes, our students receive the individualized attention they need to succeed. Every teacher at SAVA is fully credentialed and trained to adapt instruction to meet each student’s learning style and goals. All SAVA campuses are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

 

But what truly sets SAVA apart is our commitment to college and career readiness. All high school students participate in Career Technical Education (CTE) courses that offer hands-on, real-world learning in fields like:
